Good result sat.

I had to go at half time so missed the goals was it a fair result.

Good to see that town have some celebrity fans with Gilbert O'sullivan watching. Razz

I was very impressed, first time I've seen Town since the start of the season, and I would have to say that in the 2nd half I saw some of the best football I've seen at Mundford Road for a long time (not that I'm a season ticket holder) I thought the team were solid throughout, and looked to get down the flanks and as a neutral watching a one off game I would have have said it was the home side who were top of the table, however, having never watched Clacton before, I'm sure they just had an off day, as they are not top for no reason, thats taking nothing away from the home sides performance.

yep...i'd go along with those sentiments

thought first half we defended dogedly but perhaps didnt pressure the ball well enough which I think Mark mentioned during half time

second half I was impressed by the guys work ethic and I think Clactons goal aside where we went to sleep for 2 minutes, we played very very well and were unlucky not to nick it at the end - good team spirit evident as well - keep it up lads

This was the first time i had watched town this season, my thoughts are as follows,
did not think it was a great game in truth....thought Clacton looked very average...apart from there number 11 who always looked capable of a goal or creating something.
Thought to there credit and considering they have been leaking many goals town defended well on the whole, though a few times first half they were caught out and the town keeper made a couple of very good saves.
Thought the captain played well and once town find an experienced centre back as a partner to him they could have an excellent partnership.
Luke Bailey EXCELLENT signing just needs a few games to get that sharpness back.
The lad Dixon looked very sharp and irritated there back line all game. Would have liked to see Manno partner him as didnt think there was a need for 3 in midfield as there pair in the middle didnt get forward much, i think they were there for the taking!!!
On the whole though a very very positive result for town, in a game where i dont think many were expecting the team to get a great deal. WELL DONE and great goal Dixon Very Happy

Manno felt you and Dixon could have really got at there back line. There central midfield didnt seem interested in attacking and i think it was a great chance to take the points.
Do you think the team can build on this result?
Where was Steve Livingston on Sat is he the assistant, does he attend fixtures or just do training?

The fixtures we've got coming up should in theory give us a chance to build on the Clacton game, but we've got to be on top of our game like we were on Sat more often.

Steve Livingstone does the majority of the training but so far has only been to 1 or 2 games.
