Heard that Mr Ping had left Athletic for a ridgeons league club.

What a relief it was when it turned out to be Diss. and not town

Good luck Mr ping and you know you will get a warm welcome on your return to the rec. Evil or Very Mad

It was called off because Scole couldnt raise a side.

Yes Scole informed us an hour before kick off, that they only had 9 players, and not enough cars to get them over. So we watched Brandon instead!

Apologise athletic 7 that you had to witness such a poor game!! Having said that a win is a win and see's us move up to 6th and only 1 point of 2nd - it is rather close in our league so that poor win was much needed.

Sign of a good team is to win when you play poorly. I'm not going to lie and say I thought it was a good game to watch, in fact I thought both teams were struggling, but in fairness to the players I think the pitch played its part, and Sprowston are fighting for their lives so it was always going to be a scrap. But I'd rather take 3 points through a poor performance than play well for 89 minutes and lose, it was a better option than the list of jobs that would have been waiting for me at home!

Sorry, shouldnt really be discussing Brandon on here....... but we both come from Thetford if that counts? Very Happy

Thanks lads, thats going to cost them isn't it?

Tight division Simon, wins a win isn't it?

Athletic, will you get the points or have to play when they can raise their best team? Sounds a bit cynical I know but I suspect some of those teams won't be relishing playing you will they?

manoman athletic7 had already said perhaps we shouldnt talk about the other teams so really no need for your comment as we had already realised that!!

Mind you freedom of speech and all that.

As you "asked" Jim I'm sure Manoman will not mind me responding......

We will be awarded the points and I think a 3 goal + for goal difference, which in all honesty is the best result, as despite the fact I think we would have won by a bigger margin, we are falling behind with league fixtures, and I'd rather bag the points than have to travel to Scole midweek in April when they could field a side full of god knows who and us needing a win to secure the title!

hahaha..mind u dont get the bulldog clip caught somewhere nasty

imo i dont think others posting about Thetty players in whatever guise is a bad thing on here - it keeps everyone in the circle of whats going on - and everyone has a general interest in how all our local lads are doing
